This is a R&D Senior Engineer role reporting to the R&D Team Manager in the Business Area – Motion, IEC LV Motors located in Shanghai, China.
Your responsibilities
- Implementing computation fluid dynamics (CFD) finite-element analysis (FEA) to design, analyze, and optimize the structure and components of rotating electrical machines.
- Providing technical support for problems relating to ventilation of rotating electrical machines, e.g. abnormal temperature-rise.
- Giving general training for relevant employees on finite-element analysis, CFD basic knowledge, basic use of FEA tools, etc., and preparing relevant training materials and so on.
- Reviewing and evaluating technical plans and other technical materials relating to design of ventilation of rotating electrical machines.
- Managing technical projects relating to CFD simulation.

Your background
- Bachelor or above degree required.
- Electromechanics, mechanics, thermal energy and power engineering, or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience required.
- Good use of ANSYS Fluent, rotated machined background is preferred.
- Good computer skills in Windows, Microsoft Office, email communication, etc.
- Good level of written & reading skills in English.
- Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills in English & Chinese.
- Teamwork spirit.
