Job Description/Capsule:
Working within the Global Data Services part of Global Human Resources (HR) Centre, the Data Analyst will be responsible for Organization Management transactions within Workday. The Data Analyst will also work closely with the global business to support HR with mass upload functions and supporting the effective use of the Workday system. The Data Analyst will also schedule data quality audits within HR Systems and solve and resolve issues discovered.
Global Data Services – Roles & Responsibilities:
Support the HR function by ensuring that the process of executing OM transactions on behalf of HR/managers within Workday is operating efficiently and compliantly with AZ internal practices.
Working with HR Services and Workday, to understand their OM needs and ensure the team and [processes are ready to support them
Execute mass uploads in Workday for any mass updates required on HR core data
Build processes to validate transactions are executed correctly in Workday
Schedule audits and resolve issues that arise from these data audits. This could be directly correcting data in Workday or liaising with country HR teams to cleanse data.
Act as the Subject matter expert for global restructuring processes, and other OM transactions
Assist in data validation during enhancements or major system releases
Work with HRIT teams to ensure data is following documented standards and policies
Create reports within Workday to monitor data quality, and report on OM changes
Ensure and build processes and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant policies, processes and laws
Ensure in-scope work meets all service level agreements with respect to time, accuracy etc. examine issues and recommend a resolves change to improve customer service
Work proactively with local Service Delivery teams to ensure a collaborative service is being provided by HR
Seek and recommend/implement continual improvements to processes that have been deployed
Support the building and repair of downstream integrations (Export files)
Provide Subject Matter support on Project teams where data design is required or questioned.
Support Global Merger and acquisition activity including data migration and testing support
Represent the data team and be able to answer questions during projects
Support the maintenance and develop and deliver training materials for Management information processes
To support the data incites team, provide global, analytical data to this key stakeholder group to assist in driving management decisions to deliver business outcomes
Strategically seek new products and services offered to best meet business needs and represent AstraZeneca during the update process for the workday version control update.
Ensures that business as usual services in their area of responsibility are delivered and maintained in accordance with Service Level Agreements
Assists in developing performance management and measurement mechanisms to drive cost-effective service improvement, report on performance against targets and highlights area of risk in business as usual operations.
Highlights areas of risk in business as usual operations and identifies opportunities to mitigate the risk.
Candidate Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Significant HR system maintenance experience (for example SAP / PeopleSoft / Oracle / Workday)
Practical experience providing technical/functional systems advice and solving complex HR issues
Demonstrated ability to follow company policies and maintain highly confidential information
Strong detail orientation and analytical skills
Proven customer-oriented focus
Ability to work effectively in a team environment & work independently
Ability to train and develop more junior data analysts
Demonstrable excellence in working with Excel
Demonstrated personal characteristics of self-motivation and initiative.
Highly developed communications, organization and interpersonal skills
Experience in Project Management
Experiences of ticket-based workflow systems to manage the control of work to the team.
