We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer | Wind and Industrial Service to join our experienced field service team.

The opportunity.

This opportunity involves the analysis, service / repair and maintenance of gearboxes for our customers to improve drive train performance.
A substantial variety of training will be provided including factory product training in both the UK and Germany, specialist tooling (such as condition monitoring and video inspection), working at heights and off-shore qualifications.
We offer a competitive basic salary plus overtime. This role would be home based with travel within the UK and Ireland plus occasional overseas requirements. All necessary tooling and associated IT equipment required to perform the role will be provided. What do I need to qualify for this role?
We would like to hear from apprentice trained mechanical engineers, technicians and fitters with experience working in engineering sectors including wind turbines (on-shore and off-shore), power stations, aggregates processing, water / waste-water, petrochemical and similar industries to join our strong Field Service Team. 
Preferably you will have an HNC/ HND qualification, but if you have the right mind set and experience with rotating mechanical machinery/ gear boxes we are keen to hear from you. 

The opportunity…
• To mechanically undertake and complete workshop and Field Service activities inclusive of reporting and detailing findings, condition assessments, critical tolerances, actions taken and recommendations.
• Able to provide a consistent approach whilst working under own initiative, with minimal supervision and provide our customers with the highest levels of service possible.
• Fault finding and diagnosis using condition monitoring and borescope inspection methods to support this.
• Ability to work at heights both on-shore and off-shore.
• Flexibility for regular travel, out-of-hours working with overnight stays and some international travel will be required.
• Build rapport with colleagues and customers to improve results.
• Understand the needs of our customers, speak their language, developing credibility, loyalty, trust, and commitment.
• Have a commercial awareness and an ability to recognise, promote and pursue new opportunities for sales, contracts, retrofits.
• Using your technical skills and experience you will be looking to find the best solutions for our customers whilst proving excellent customer service.
