Contract - 6 months, full-time
As a member of the Medical Information team, you provide accurate, consistent and timely medical and scientific information to healthcare practitioners. As a core member to the therapeutically-aligned business unit, you will support the medical strategy by building medical/scientific content and providing insights and recommendations to internal partners.
Responsibilities include:
Be a scientific specialist to AstraZeneca therapeutic areas, including products, disease state, emerging therapies and therapeutic landscape
Provide accurate and timely responses (verbal and/or written) to triaged medical information requests from healthcare practitioners
Ensure that all local and globally driven key performance indicators for Medical Information-related tasks and deliverables are met
Build, review and maintain local medical information content (i.e. standard response letters, literature comparisons, and market intelligence, etc.) to align with global assets and local strategies
Support the build of and/or lead internal brand and therapeutic training; working closely with the team (Medical Science Liaisons, Medical Advisors, etc.) create, revise and maintain scientific presentations
Working with the brand team, provide scientific expertise and review when crafting promotional materials
Report Adverse Events to Patient Safety as per standard operating procedures
Actively participate in and contribute to digital initiatives
Mentor, develop and provide scripted answers to Medical Information Associates to positively support development of the team
Provide back-up to the team as needed and perform additional tasks as assigned by management to improve how we work and enhance your development
Be trained and conduct activities and interactions consistent with what we value and in compliance with the Code of Ethics and supporting Policies and Standards, reporting potential issues of non-compliance should these occur
Qualifications:
You have a university degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing
Industry or similar experience, preferably in Medical Information or the Medical Affairs function is preferred
You have an strong MS Office and database search skills
You have effective relationship skills and a strong commitment to positively impacting a team
You are a strong communicator, and are able to critically evaluate, assess and synthesize scientific and clinical literature
Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
