Job Description

Business Analysts (BAs) perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports. Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement. Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues. Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats. Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures. Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget. Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions. BAs must have strong communication and customer engagement skills given their role in explaining and clarifying issues with the customer and translating operations issues into improving system process. In some cases, the BA will own specific data deliverables and have responsibility for the health of the data within their scope of influence.


Qualifications

- Graduate of related business or engineering Bachelor degree. - 2+ years of working experience - Extremely organized with strong time-management skills - Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive - Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational - Strong analytical skills, comfortable interpreting data and utilizing tools such as MS Excel, SQL scripting - Excellent interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills
