Job Description
This role is key in describing AIA NZ current and future state from an infrastructure, cloud, data centre, security and network perspective, as well as define the high-level change agenda required to enable it.
Reporting into the Head of Architecture, you'll be strategic and will enjoy being across delivery. You'll work to define the people, process and technology capabilities required to deliver on business goals, drivers and strategy.

Key responsibilities:
- Contribute to the overall high performance of the Technology team, ensuring strong awareness of business and technology requirements beyond the role.
- Through consultation and agreement with key stakeholders, develop, maintain and communicate an enterprise capability strategy and the aligned technology roadmap which focuses on Infrastructure and Network.
- Facilitate effective enterprise architecture development including business architecture, information architecture and domain views, with focus on Infrastructure and Networks.
- Facilitate the appropriate level of understanding of all architectural deliverables across stakeholder groups.
- Prepare, manage and report key performance metrics on progress to plan.
- Develop and implement a methodology for assessing strategic and tactical business needs, ensuring these are in line with the agreed business strategy.
- Ensure strong stakeholder management, gaining ‘buy in’ to the technology roadmap from across the organisation (including Executive).
- Develop innovative solutions to business problems.
- Establish, run and participate in appropriate governance forums.
- Establish and own the Infrastructure Architecture Practice, to develop capability and raise awareness of the function.
- Assist in the prioritisation of technology initiatives.
About you:
- Strong architecture capability in Infrastructure, Cloud, Data Center, Security and Network.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills combined with business knowledge and pragmatism.
- People and relationship management expertise – ability to build relationships across teams within technology, and with customer groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Negotiation and problem solving skills.
- Ability to articulate a vision and present to all levels of the organization.
- Excellent understanding of technology principles, frameworks and architectures.
- Broad understanding of technology standards, processes and methodologies across a wide range of Infrastructure & Network services.
- Previous experience in defining, maintaining and advocating Infrastructure & Network architecture models within a large organisation.
- Keen understanding and insights around Infrastructure & Network trends and future opportunities.
- Sustained high levels of performance and achievement within a technology environment.
