Lenovo is seeking an experienced Technical Specialist who will be responsible
for looking at customers end-to-end services processes in order to optimize
how customers do business. This includes have deep dive technical
conversations with customers specific to automation, factory offerings and
professional services. Advanced IT technical understanding and skill set will
be critical in being successful in this role. This role requires an individual
who has a customer centric mindset, is focused on IT automation and
efficiencies and who is a creative problem solver.
Key responsibilities include:
• Hosting Whiteboards Sessions to uncover customer pain points; reviewing
customers technical end-to-end IT processes
• Developing and Creating Process Workflows on customer ‘current state’ and
‘future state’
• Developing and Creating customer facing proposals documents incorporating
specific recommendation and return-on-investment
• Participating in ‘read out’ sessions to communicate recommendations to
customers
• Thoroughly understand and sell Deployment Automation – Advanced Deployment
Services – creation and build-out of full ADS solutions; financial modeling
• Thoroughly understand and sell Factory Integration Services including deep
technical knowledge - Image Load, Image Verification, Image Creation, Smart
Image, First Boot Services, Custom BIOS, Asset Tags, BIOS Updates
• Thoroughly understand and sell Whitsett/USFC Services (Etching, Drop in Box,
Domain Join, Over Packing, etc.) and Lenovo Cloud Services
• Packaging solutions and developing into a customer facing proposal document
• Work with services sales and extended account teams to present services
offering to the customer
• Join customer calls and meetings to review solutions
• Create all Statement of Work agreements and documentation (between Lenovo-
Customer and Lenovo-Service Partner where applicable)
• Redline and legal reviews of documentation; working directly with customers
and extended Lenovo teams (including Lenovo Legal) – specific to automation
solutions, cloud and ADS
• Part Number creation / Salesforce Management / Sales Cadence Calls
• Project Management engagement and coordination through pre and post sales
#### Position Requirements:
• 10+ years of IT services related experience (including experience with IT
automation)
• Expert understanding and demonstrated competence around automation (ADS),
factory services (imaging, asset tagging, first boot services), cloud services
and Microsoft offerings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, with
proven ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the
business to accomplish common goals
• Extensive experience using MS tools (Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint,
Excel)
• Experience working in a customer-facing environment
