Job Description
The key objectives of the position are to
- Assist the existing Accounts team as required
- Process transactions in Great Plains financial system and perform other duties as requested by the Accounts Manager
Key tasks and responsibilities
Purchase Ledger
- Invoices are date stamped on receipt
- Services are correctly receipted and matched with the invoice and PO
- Incorrect invoices are rejected and referred back to supplier for correction
- Enter purchase invoices accurately to GP
- Records are maintained and filed in a tidy and organised manner
Sales Ledger - Process sales invoices and send to client
- Records are maintained and filed in a tidy and organised manner
General Ledger - Enter transactions in Great Plains and prepare reconciliations/other documents as instructed by the Accounts Manager
Employee Expenses - Check employee expenses for complete documentation and authorisation
- Process expenses for payment
Bank Statements - Enter transactions in Great Plains and prepare reconciliation as instructed by the Accounts Manager
