What we do:

BNY Mellon Shared Services is dedicated to helping product managers & developers with the best tools and infrastructure to develop internal and external applications. Our two main initiatives are Mobile where we develop great mobile applications and mobile SDK and tools for the developers community in the bank. Our second initiative is state of the art internal enterprise search that integrates with multiple data sources to allow efficient day to day to everyone.

BNY Mellon Tel Aviv is an exciting R&D center founded on the base of a start-up company purchased by the bank, focusing on developing new products and providing technological enhancements for existing products in the bank.

Our DNA is of a start-up company, we focus on quick and quality product delivery, working with the latest technologies in an Agile-Scrum development environment.

We prioritize a healthy work-life balance for employees and a pleasant work culture. There are possibilities of professional development and opportunities.

Currently our site includes 30 employees with a plan to substantially grow the headcount in 2021 to 50 employees.

Our new stunningly designed and well-equipped office is situated in the middle of Tel Aviv, only 5 minutes away from the Shalom train station.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

Be part of a team which designs, develops, tests and deploys custom distributed software system. Employ agile development practices including test and deployment automation as well as Continuous Integration to improve overall execution speed and product quality. 

Programming well-designed, testable, efficient code.

For Mobile initiative:
Develop back end services and applications with high-scale to support the mobile applications using Java and relational and document databases and also using GraphQL where needed.

For Search initiative:
Develop data pipelines for diverse data sources like: databases, documents, and more, and develop tools that pushes these data sources to elastic search. Develop APIs and Applications for performing high-scale search and integrating with AI-ML services for improved search results.

For Both:
Active learning engagement. Complete all required mandatory training / policy awareness curricula on time. Use learning tools such as Pluralsight to complete both recommended and aspirational targets set in personal development plans.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

• 3+ yrs Java with - sprintboot an advantage
• 1+ yrs experience with Front end frameworks - Angular an advantage
• 1+ yrs Python experience - Advantage
• Computer science degree or equivalent is highly appreciated
• Experience with docker, kubernetes ci-cd – big advantage
• Good English (speaking and writing) - must
• Proactive and self motivated
• Team player
