Assist to develop tracking mechanism for IBM on prem and cloud compute resource consumption through cloud migration journey

Provide tracking and analysis on the migration of compute resource and management effort from IBM on-prem to cloud.

Alert abnormal/unexpected consumption of compute resource trend for both IBM on prem and cloud to stakeholders with all the financial details to facilitate remediation.

IBM DCM Compute Resource Consumption Trending and Analysis

• Drive the formatting of RU billing reports into the new template so that the it can be mapped to the data model which will allow all parties to understand the consumption trend including establishing and maintaining a set of assumption.
• Provide regular reporting on the trend against LBU forecast with analysis on both RU consumption and spending, respond to queries and adjust forecast as needed.
• Review RU consumption against invoice information provided by vendors and report discrepancies from time to time.

Cloud resource consumption Trending and Analysis

• Monitor cloud resource consumption against plan and provide trending with analysis at both Group and LBU level
• Work with Cloud Programme Manager & Vendors to understand the current status of migration so that related cost implications are understood and managed
• Run regular consumption meetings so that any discrepancy between forecast vs actual is alerted to the appropriate business unit
• Review Cloud business cases so make sure cost benefits realization is being achieved 
• Review the resource unit related costing so that its clear when business units will reach the baseline
• Use Power BI to provide charts / analytics to Senior Management

• Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements
