Job Description
Eaton’s ITD-Aerospace Souriau division is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Tijuana facility. The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the execution and deployment of the defined Strategic Quality Plan, providing total Quality leadership to customers, suppliers, partners and manufacturing, leading continuous improvement activities, and managing the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements. Actively strives to improve manufacturing processes by utilizing variability reduction methodologies such as DOE, Six Sigma, and Lean. Ensures compliance to current Quality Management Systems (AS) and the Eaton Quality System. Guides the team thru the Operation Assessment (OpA) and generate the information to be deployed in the plant for the Eaton Business System (EBS). Some activities related with the position will be: Manages the quality customer interface to ensure that requirements are understood and met, including assisting in complaint resolution and root cause and corrective action determination. Analyzes quality performance and sets the plant goals for all quality metrics and performs managerial reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans to close gaps at an operational level. Manage the implementation of 6-sigma in accordance to Corporate and Group guidelines. Develops and implements the Quality function organizational structure capable of supporting strategic business plans and initiatives. Designs and implements quality assurance training programs and conducts training in quality-related topics, in addition to personnel development plans. Leads the implementation and improvement effort to the Quality Management Systems. Is the designated Management Representative for the plant as defined in the AS9100 Quality system. Leads the efforts of the internal quality auditors. Ensures Quality functional participation in product development and launch activities including identification of customer expectations, manufacturing and test support, reliability analysis, design reviews, evaluation of test programs, material testing, leading to customer approvals on new and existing products. Coordinate with and provide input to Supply Chain/Supplier Development organization to assure quality of purchased products and services meets Eaton requirements Assists with corporate initiatives at the plant level, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across Eaton Corp. Supports the plant in obtaining and maintaining their Eaton Business Excellence Certification. Regularly communicates and demonstrates the Eaton best practices, ethics, values and philosophy such that these cultural attributes are incorporated throughout the organization Work with Ergonomics Team to develop a program to reduce re-work activities that affect ergonomics. Support the training in order to develop technicians or operators as required. Support and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives. Contributes to overall profitability and growth objectives through the management of Eaton’s quality processes, continuous improvement efforts, and quality culture advancement. When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. #LI-AP01 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing , Industrial Engineering or Mechanical. 5 year of experience in QC Role Advanced level of English fluency (reading and writing that allow fluid presentation and participation in negotiation processes). Lean Expert Greenbelt certified; CQM or CQE Certified PC knowledge: Microsoft Office, Access, Knowledge: Lean Tools, 6 Sigma and Technical Statistics ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Pro-Launch tools knowledge CAPA knowledge: 8D, 5 why, Ishikawa, Paretos Leadership, Communicaton, Problem Solving, Interpersonal skills,Team work, We make what matters work.
