Job Description

Graphics & Throughput Computing Hardware Engineering (GTCHE) is responsible for delivering industry-leading  GPU (3D, media, compute, and display) hardware intellectual property (IP) blocks and system-on-a-chip (SoC) products for discrete graphics and throughput computing. We are looking for an Pre-Silicon Verification Engineer with good SoC verification experience to join our team.

In this position, you will be working as part of a Pre-silicon SoC Verification Team for current and next generation Graphics Products.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

·       Creating verification environments, checker strategies and test generators for validating the sub system functionality in the SOC.

·       Learning the SOC architecture by debugging test failures to the root cause

·       Developing and utilizing various software tools and/or methodologies with the goal to ensure highly functional firmware

·       Communicating effectively, coordinating and working with Architects and Design developers and SOC integration teams

·       Potentially participating in the debug of Subsystem and SoC failures and developing new testing strategies to detect pre-silicon issues.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Good understanding of Computer Architecture
• Experience validating complex SoCs
• Good understanding of Memory Subsystem, Cache Coherency Protocols, Memory Management Unit
• Strong foundation in GPU/CPU architecture and interfaces is a plus
• Understanding of industry standard protocols is a plus
• Expertise in system verilog and OVM or UVM based verification methodologies
• Hands on Debug experience is a must
• Experience in OOPS concepts  and knowledge of C++ is a plus
• Scripting knowledge (PERL or PYTHON) is desirable

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 5+ years of experience.
