Job Description

Key Focus:

• Play a key role in accounts payable function.

• Ensure a timely and accurate recording and filing of all suppliers invoices.

• Ensure accurate records of the documents and clean reconciliation of vendor accounts.

• Ensure vendor accounts are reconciled. Answer supplier’s requests about the status of their accounts.

• Ensure accurate records of the documents and clean reconciliation of vendor accounts.

• Minimize the number of payment reminders by working closely with the suppliers.

• Promote team spirit and provide assistance in Finance areas as required

• Support cross functional issue; provide facilitation and coordination to resolve the competing priorities among functions so as to achieve balanced and optimal result for the best interest of business.

•Maintain  strong and sustainable collaboration with the GBU’s and cross functions

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, credit memos and other authorized requests for payment.

• Respect compliance procedures that relate to the accounts payable processes

• Monitor program to clear vendor invoices blocked for payment due to price or quantity  mismatch

•Support cross function on PTP processes, document the process and relevant sub process

• Coordinate with region finance regarding account payable related query in and out .

• Review daily invoices batches for accuracy

•Ensure process requirements are in full compliance with Audit, SOX and relevant policy & regulations.

• Pursue credit / refunds due from vendors

• Coordinate with Corporate Treasury regarding bank acknowledgement of check issues,advice of cleared checks, imaged document

• Generated monthly and weakly aging, batch proof and other related performance relate   report and review with team manager.

• Lead or sub-lead assigned GPO or local PTP project. Play key role in the project management and performance.

• Cross team member backup during other member’s absence in AP team.

Key competencies:

• At least 5 years AP accountant experience.

• Certificated accountant is preferred.

• College or university degree preferably in finance/accountancy

• Good IT skills (MS Office, SAP experience is an advantage)

• Good organizing and time management skills; can orchestrate multiple activities at once

   to accomplish a goal, arranges information and files in a useful manner, concentrates

   his/her efforts on the more important priorities

• Costumer focused attitude; meet or exceed costumers expectations (internal/external),

   establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust  

   and respect

• Good organizing and time management skills; can orchestrate multiple activities at once

   to accomplish a goal, arranges information and files in a useful manner, concentrates

   his/her efforts on the more important priorities

• Self development skills; he/she is personally committed to and actively works to

   continuously improve him/herself; understands that different situations and levels may

   call for different skills and approaches

• Fluency in English & Japanese

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor or Master degree in business/ economics /finance area or related field.   Additional Japanese, and Six Sigma skill is a plus.

Candidates must have the following experience or working knowledge:

•          Strong business acumen to effectively manage/reduce costs and drive productivity

•          Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to be able to deal with different management levels

•          Ability to present ideas and information in a clear, concise, and organized manner.

•          Listens to others to respond effectively to ideas and questions.

•          System integration experience is a plus

•          Expert User of  Microsoft Office tools

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Limited requirement on travel.  <20days per year.

NOTE – This is job is based in Dalian, China.
