We are presently recruiting for a Brand Manager reporting to the Marketing Manager for Eyecare. This role will be based our Toronto office. The Brand Manager is responsible for leading brand strategy development and implementation and for delivering the expected commercial results in Canada, through effective cross-functional team collaboration. . This role includes launch responsibility from prelaunch preparation through launch excellence and rapid market uptake. Key Responsibilities: Lead the brand planning process to develop leading-edge integrated marketing strategies to expand our reach, impact and quality of stakeholder engagement. Develop, implement and measure tactics aligned to strategies identified in the brand plan. Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional matrix teams, including sales, medical, continuing health education, communications, community relations, finance, advertising, trade, market access, regulatory and Global Lead launch planning and launch excellence implementation in collaboration with internal partners and key external stakeholders. Identify critical success factors and build stakeholder plan to drive high impact launch. Engage with key external experts to understand unmet needs and identify new initiatives Work with Global team to contribute affiliate insights and to integrate relevant global strategies and initiatives into local marketing and communication activities. Effectively communicate strategic goals, positioning, messaging and tactical plans to internal customers, field sales force and external agencies. Identify knowledge gaps and collaborate in market research design and analysis. Contribute to planning and implementation of the national sales meeting and cycle meetings. Regularly contribute value to the Eye Care and Glaucoma brand teams Work collaboratively with vendors to plan and develop promotional materials that meet sales team needs, leveraging multichannel assets and creative concepts, in collaborating with sales, advertising and digital teams. Contribute to organizational excellence, a collaborative working environment and a positive culture Manage, prioritize and strategically spend the Advertising and Promotion (A&P) budget, delivering initiatives within agreed budgets and timelines. Take a lead role in monthly and annual financial processes, working in close collaboration with forecasting team to deliver accurate and timely output. Qualifications Education/Experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Commerce or related field is required. MBA is an asset Relevant marketing experience with a proven track record within the biotech/ pharmaceutical industry: Marketing experience (minimum three years) Eye Care and/or implant device experience preferred Launch experience preferred Experience with digital/ virtual programs deployment is an asset. Ability to think and plan strategically (work plans, activities, timelines, targeting), and to prioritize to achieve executional excellence. Essential skills and abilities: Advanced English language proficiency (oral and written) is required. French language proficiency is an asset. Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Strong project management skills and ability to think and plan strategically (brand plans, activities, timelines, targeting) and operate with execution excellence. Analytical mindset, consistently measuring and optimizing return on marketing spend, while demonstrating strong budget management skills. Comfortable in a matrix structure. Strong collaborator. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.). Must be at ease with technology (the use of various tools/systems to perform day-to-day tasks). Travel required about 10% of the time. Valid driver’s license and passport.
