The Localization Project Manager supports the Localization Director with all SDL internal localization projects and initiatives and is the “go-to” person for all cross-functional stakeholders requesting internal localization services.
In this brand new role you will work closely with a variety of internal teams including but not limited to Product Marketing, Design, Content, Digital, Product Development and the PMO to ensure on-time delivery and high linguistic quality. You will co-ordinate localization projects for a wide variety of content types, to include, but not limited to web, marketing collaterals, training e-learning, software, technical documentation and multi-media.
In this role you will work closely with the Localization Director in being a localization ‘ambassador’ and help promote SDL’s localization strategy and direction.
This is a unique, one of a kind role, where you will be the internal ‘customer’ and the PMO Office is the internal ‘vendor’.
What will you do in your new role?
- Support the Localization Director as the primary point of contact for all internal cross functional stakeholders requesting localization services.
- Working closely with the PMO manage the entire end-end localization process for all projects and supported languages, from initial planning right through to successful completion and delivery.
- Ensure that all projects and global launches are delivered on time and to budget with a high degree of linguistic quality.
- Help educate internal stakeholders on localization best practice and help provide training as required.
- Support the Localization Director in identifying tool and process gaps and work with PMO to pilot new technology and initiatives.
- Support Localization Director in managing localization budget and costs.
- Support Localization Director with monthly KPI reporting to manage performance against set SLA’s and work with PMO to drive improvement at all times.
- Work closely with internal Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to ensure that client review cycles are planned and performed on time in order to not impact project schedules.
- Support Localization Director in constantly seeking quality efficiencies, improvement and excellence.
Do you have these ESSENTIAL skills?
- Minimum of 2 + years’ experience as an Associate Project Manager, Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within any SDL PMO.
- Extensive localization knowledge including; Project Management, Engineering and Desktop Publishing.
- Proven experience in managing cross content localization projects.
- A good working knowledge of SDL Trados Studio and TMS.
- Good MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical and problem solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Extraordinary interpersonal skills, having the ability to communicate with global stakeholders.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Organized and with the ability to work under pressure of deadlines and ever shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Ambitious and with a desire to learn and progress.

Do you have these DESIERABLE skills?
- An understanding of localization methodologies, best practice and industry standards.
- Experience in managing software and help localization projects.
- Experience of SDL Managed Translation (ManTra).
- Experience in managing multimedia projects, i.e. voiceover etc.
- An understanding in the concept of Tridion Sites and Tridion Docs.
- Proven experience in the use of SDL MultiTerm.

- This role may require the successful candidate to participate in conference calls after Polish business hours therefore a degree of flexibility will be required.
