Director of Engineering

Looking for a dynamic leader who is highly organized and capable of providing leadership, guidance and direction in achieving the hotel’s vision and mission with a young, energetic workforce. You will provide technical and administrative assistance to the resort. This role will be integral to Engineering operations, You will manage tactical and strategic planning in view of the property.

What you will be doing:

• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment
• Plan and implement a preventative maintenance schedule
• Engage and liaise with contractors as needed 
• Liaise with other departments prioritising maintenance requests in order to ensure the smooth operation of the hotel 
• Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action
• Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way

Your experience and skills include:

• Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset
• Proven experience in a similar role and hotel environment is essential
• Strong knowledge of the relevant legislation and safety requirements
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
