Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. This role is a US-based field position reporting directly to the National Field Training Manager supporting the Bone Health Blue Team in the Northeast Region. The role will be responsible for working with their National Field Training Manager, the Director of L&P, and Regional Sales Director to yield more consistent training outcomes, tailored market solutions, sustainability of key implementation focus areas and ultimately, drive revenue and customer engagement. The role will have a dotted line to the RSD to align sales objectives to the training needs so that a training and coaching plan will improve behavioral, performance, and sales outcomes of the SSRs across all brands.

The Sales Training Manager is an individual contributor role with specific regional training responsibilities and duties and will serve as the primary point of contact and lead all aspects of all field-based training activities within the region. Additionally, as a remote member of the GCO L&P training team, their ability to work effectively remotely/virtually and establish key partnerships with internal trainers, cross-functional team members, and leaders is a critical function of this role. The role serves as a developmental opportunity that will require the establishment of virtual cross-matrix relationships with sales, marketing, and training leaders in Thousand Oaks, CA.

This role will also support New Hire onboarding and Phase II training classes during the calendar year, facilitate semester meeting content, engage with brand leads on field insights, lead district sales training curriculum, partner with district sales trainers, develop and participate on internal L&P workstreams. The RSD will align as needed to engage on virtual and/or live field visits in alignment with AMGEN corporate policies. This role will also learn and incorporate new adult learning techniques/principles to develop innovative ways and training content for field implementation.

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 2 years of sales/marketing/training experience

OR

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of sales/marketing/training experience

OR

Associate's Degree and 10 years of sales/marketing/training experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of sales/marketing/training experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of training, sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
  • Product sales experience preferred (EVENITY®, Prolia®)
  • 3+ years working closely with sales, marketing, compliance, healthcare company or related industry experience
  • Experience defining training goals and objectives with key internal clients,
  • Strong facilitation skills using multiple mediums
  • Experience working with sales team, regulatory, legal, compliance, vendor management as client or functional unit lead
  • Experience in engaging with multiple partners to deliver results for multiple priorities
  • Strong clinical competence to model and craft curriculum and staff
  • Demonstrated self-starter, ability to work under limited supervision and coordinate multiple projects and teams in a thorough environment
  • Strong intuition for business using Veeva data systems
  • Strong Communication skills (coaching and selling skills)
  • Understanding of Access & Reimbursement environment
  • Experience with the Buy & Bill model
