Job Description

The System Applications Group is hiring experienced Embedded Systems Developers to build cutting edge complex analog/digital systems for test and measurement, instrumentation, and industrial markets. Our charter is to solve complex customer equipment design challenges and deliver custom hardware / software system design IP for broad market customers. We deliver IP as reference designs and licensed, fee-based technologies.

 

We are currently staffing experienced digital hardware, firmware and software developers with the following skillsets and experience:

 

Candidate requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) and 5+ years commercial systems development experience
  • Proven collaborative, interdisciplinary design team experience
  • Demonstrable hands-on lab bring up and debug, benchtop test equipment experience
  • Automated testing systems experience
  • Commercial digital systems experience in hardware, firmware and/or software
  • Engineering best practices - revision control, documentation, review and test

 

The ideal candidate will have a compelling subset of the following desired skills and experience:

  • Embedded system design, development, and debug
  • Bare metal ARM and FPGA microcontroller systems, boot process, drivers, interrupts, memory systems, compiler, and debug tool flows
  • PC software / connected hardware development: Python, C/C++, C#, USB
  • Embedded device interfacing and programming: SPI, serial, I2C, ethernet, flash, DRAM, SRAM, ADC, DAC, sensors
  • On and off chip busses
  • System level register mapped embedded device programming and sequencing
  • VISA / SCPI programming
  • Hardware diagnostics
  • Automated regression test system creation, usage, maintenance, continuous integration
  • Customer facing experience
  • Verilog FPGA design, simulation, implementation, bring up and debug
  • Tool flow analysis and process improvements
  • System measurement and calibration

 

 

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export  licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.  As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.
