This position has responsibility for maintaining business processes and reporting practices for Siemens Advanta Solutions and Siemens Advanta Consulting. The Controlling Professional will report to management within both US organizations as they support them in analyzing, developing, testing and driving improvements to existing concepts, processes and methodologies. Responsibilities Coordinate and drive forecast and planning processes while evaluating, challenging and ensuring accuracy of selected KPIs, e.g. order intake, Utilization, SG&A cost, free cash flow, etc. along with submission of data in planning tools (e.g. Hyperion) and preparation of Executive summaries. Consolidate budgets, including top-down and bottom-up plans, and proceeds with periodic forecasts during the year. Contributes to project controlling for solutions business including accurate planning and forecasting, Revenue recognition, invoicing Provides regular business reports, with respect to overall performance and be the primary contact regarding audits and reporting Critically review and consolidate Financial commentaries on a monthly basis Key user of the Planning Tool, support implementation and internal training to the Finance community Planning, forecasting and controlling of certain cost buckets, e.g. Reserves, WIP, concessions, credit notes, backlog adjustments, royalties, PA/PCA adjustments etc. Ensure accuracy of books and record, ensure execution of proper Budget / Forecast / Closing procedures Continuous improvement of existing tool and process landscape along with strong sense of ownership to improve financial and non-financial results Carries out ad-hoc analyses, evaluations of assets, liabilities, inventory measures and profitability calculations Required Skills, Experience, and Education BS/BA or similar in business administration or finance Typically 2+ years of successful experience, preferably in HQ, project or manufacturing environments Demonstrates and applies knowledge in the fields of SCM or CRM controlling, SLA, cost tracking, sales / quotation environment, In depth understanding of value flow and P&L / Balance sheet Hands-on proficiency with planning and reporting Experienced in cross-functional collaboration and communication in an international environment Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices Strong communication, presentation, written and oral skills Advanced working knowledge of SAP (FI/CO), Essbase and Hyperion Ability to effectively manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
