Eaton’s Critical Power Distribution and Infrastructure division is currently seeking a Demand Planning Manager to join our team. This position is based in Raleigh, NC. Position Overview: As a Demand Planning Manager, you will provide leadership and strategy across the Critical Power Systems (CPS) Supply Chain Team, managing the SIOP demand plan and communicating commitments across the business. This will require maintaining production scheduling activities, loading the factories to best achieve the customer’s requirements, while managing factory capacity and inventory levels for a specified group of products. Essential Functions: Lead the production scheduling team in scheduling and forecasting of UPS, Battery Cabinet and Accessories to maximize capacity requirements and drive schedule accuracy. Analyze daily, weekly, monthly capacity and material availability to facilitate reliable customer commitments and level-load production. Pro-actively identify constraints and translate to adjustments to open backlog and new commitments. Audit a slot plan for configurable to order manufacturing directly linking the SIOP demand plan to supply. Capture month over month requested SIOP demand plan changes from product marketing and provide recommendations on approval or constraints. Understand the primary drivers and largest projects for forecasted demand shared by the product management team in SIOP. Draw clear relationships between demand plan, planning BOM’s, and key material content to complete availability checks prior to scheduling orders. Align with key customer accounts and large orders to ensure quality of commitments, manage intricacies, and adjust proactively where necessary to avoid customer disruption. Propose lead-time changes based on available slots vs incoming order volume. Quality check and narrate changes to forecasted material demand prior to sharing with primary suppliers. Partner with supply chain planners (buyers) to understand and adapt scheduling practices to level-load demand for suppliers. Participate in schedule determination and monitoring for engineered to order systems. Interact daily with planners, engineering, order fulfillment, and operations. Learn and dynamically adjust processes to standardize best practices for scheduling. Develop and manage schedule team to meet business demands. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 3 years of related experience in supply chain or operations Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. Relocation is offered for this position. Preferred Qualifications: SAP Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field CPIM or other supply chain certification Previous experience in production scheduling in a Make to Order manufacturing environment Position Criteria: Ability to demonstrate knowledge of ERP requirements and customer order processing Basic understanding of bill of materials, product costing, order entry, and typical supply chain functions. Ability to demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage and develop a team. Ability to present data effectively to support recommendations regarding supply/demand plan. Ability to adjust work priorities to meet continuously changing schedules.
