Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems is currently seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our team. This position will optimally be based in Moon Township, PA, near Chicago, IL facility, or within 50mi of work locations listed in the posting, or remotely from a home office. Position Overview: The Strategic Account Operations Technical Program Manager has both program and project-level responsibilities in support of profitable growth for EESS. At the program-level, this role collaborates with customer headquarter personnel and business partners to plan for larger, specialized or capital projects crossing regional boundaries and requiring more extensive plans. In addition, the Technical Program Manager consults with customer site operations to develop long-term maintenance plans as well as secure EESS scope which extends beyond the site construction phase. At the project-level, the Technical Program Manager develops and deploys standard processes via playbooks for operational consistency across local district operations from pre-sales site walks through post-warranty support. Furthermore, this role provides coaching for local EESS site leads and team members to customer expectations, project scope and schedule and how to collaborate with NAS Project Management Office, general contractors and end-users. In this function you will: Customer Focus Collaborates with customer headquarter personnel and business partners to plan for larger, specialized or capital projects crossing regional boundaries and requiring more extensive plans Consults with customer site operations to develop long‐term maintenance plans as well as secure EESS scope which extends beyond the site construction phase Acts as a point of contact for escalation of facility and/or program‐level issues Service Sales Focus Performs site walks alongside Service Sales Specialists (S3s) to identify potential EESS opportunities Meets regularly with Eaton Project Management Office (PMO) to improve collaboration and interface Develops quick-turn proposals in response to impromptu customer requests based on knowledge of customer Methods of Procedure (MOPs) Reviews proposals / scopes of work for program-level purchase orders and works with affected District Operations (DOCs) to translate into a plan for execution District Operations Focus Defines templates and documents playbooks for DOC use Creates standard reporting templates for DOC use Shares successes / lessons learned at similar facilities Works with DOC Managers to address and eliminate invoicing errors Works with Operations leadership to build a network of certified individuals Helps DOCs capture change orders based on scope Assists in coaching, training, and certification of local DOC resources to customer requirements When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Associates degree from an accredited institution or equivalent military experience Minimum of 5 years of work experience Minimum of 5 years of leading and/or managing large service engineering projects Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the work location(s) listed on the posting. No relocation is being offered. Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 10 years of experience evaluating and servicing electrical distribution or control systems Experience in testing, troubleshooting, evaluating, and servicing electrical distribution and control systems ERC level 2 or above EFC mentor NICET level IV certification OSHA 30 construction certification Position Criteria: Collaborative working style & self-starter; ability to work remotely without co-located supervision Strong experience in power distribution field in servicing, maintaining, and testing electrical power distribution equipment. Demonstrated ability in verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate technical information and applications to non-technical personnel; educating customers, and presenting information to internal and external customers. Demonstrated strong organizational, project, time and task management skills, with use of personal computers and software systems to manage and track numerous priorities. Understanding of the company's competitor's & legacy electrical, electronic, and mechanical products and services. Working knowledge of billing and invoicing policies for service. Knowledge and practice of safety processes related to working with electrical and electronic equipment, de-energized processes, points of isolation, and job safety. Demonstrated ability to provide service and represent company interests in developing customer relationships to assure long-term customer loyalty. Strength in leadership and coaching/mentoring of both field and office personnel. Candidate needs to have a working knowledge of the overall sales function, customer channels to market, and negotiation techniques.
