This position is for a software engineer working with NX cloud QA Team. The employee will focus on the works of NX cloud testing infrastructure. The employee will: Work with NX Cloud Native Applications team to understand test needs, requirements, and priorities for various tests Work to automate image creation for cloud applications and to support distributed services Design, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks such as end2end application tests which will be applicable to multiple applications Design, and write some automated test samples that run under the test framework Write clean and robust code to minimize the cost of defects over time Participate in Requirements, Functional, Design Specification and Test Plan reviews. Required core skills Basic knowledge of cloud-based programs Knowledge of and experience with writing Python/Perl based testing tools Proficient in JavaScript/NodeJS, or C++/Java Knowledge of BDD test frameworks, such as Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, TestCafe, Jest, JUnit, etc. Knowledge of multiple front-end languages (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML) Experience of mainstream Cloud platform, e.g., AWS, Azure, Tencent Cloud, etc. will be added advantage Experience with JIRA, GitLab will be added advantage. Knowledge of DevOps, Agile/SAFe will be added advantage. NX exposure will be added advantage Required secondary skills: • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English • Ability to work well in a team, including with team members in different time zones • Proactive about solving problems • Ability to multi-task and work well within time constraints • Capable of independent work as well as collaborative development • Ability to continually improve and learn new areas Relevant Experience (in years): 2-4 years Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
