LOCATION:  This position has the flexibility to be based from a home office anywhere in the US

 

POSITION SUMMARY

As part of the Content Team and reporting to the Senior Director, Offer Management, the Bentley Content Manager establishes and enforces content standards, provides quality and effectiveness for reusable commercial offering content, and works with stakeholders to guide content from conception to distribution and production.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sets standards for offering content layout, formatting, and requirements.
  • Ensures content submitted for reviews is as complete as possible and fulfills business needs.
  • Works with business stakeholders to provide guidance and documentation necessary to generate offering content.
  • Creates, curates, and continuously improves content using proposal automation and content management tools.
  • Writes, edits, and finalizes product, services, and solutions response (proposal) material, including narrative and graphics.
  • Interviews SMEs and stakeholders and translates results into responsive and compelling proposal content.
  • Ensures writing structure and language persuasively convey products and services
  • Validates proposal quality and conceptual and thematic continuity; participates in and contributes to reviews throughout the proposal development process.

 

ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Day-to-day operation of Bentley’s proposal automation tool, Qvidian as well as development and ongoing revision of proposal documents.
  • Tracking and reporting, in near-real-time, progress against content request completion.
  • Developing and delivering extensible content pieces for consumption by internal users.
  • Identifying and curating reusable content and Q&A pairs within Qvidian.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience writing in support of a sales organization preferably related to RFxs and other offering documents.
  • Working knowledge of Bentley’s proposal automation tools, Qvidian and content and collaboration management systems (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams).
  • Detail- and process-oriented; develops and distributes documentation of processes necessary to generate good commercial content.
  • Highly skilled project manager, able to effectively convey expectations, guide participants, and deliver against set timelines.
  • Be able to research, develop, create, and edit effective content and graphics with a focus on the intended audience.
  • Be able to conceptualize complex technical and functional content and turning it into easy to consume narrative and visuals.
  • Understanding of how to work in large organizations with multiple stakeholders and centers of decision-making; ability to work with large range of individuals in a patient and focused way.
  • Experience developing key proposal components including executive summaries, win themes, value propositions, and solution overviews.
  • Excellent English writing skills; able to provide first-pass assessment of meaning and effectiveness of writing content. Business fluency in German, French, or Spanish is considered an advantage.
  • Self-directed; able to multi-task and prioritize while applying exacting standards and exceeding expectations, all with an internal customer service orientation.
  • APMP certification desirable.
  • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
  • This role does not require travel
