Main areas of responsibility

As a QA engineer for WorldServer, you will:

· Estimate test effort, design, develop, and deploy testing techniques for new applications or enhancements to existing applications

· Install and set up software in a virtual and controlled environment

· Identify and seek out opportunities for the continual improvement of processes, procedures, and infrastructure to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and provide stability

· Identify, log, and track errors according to the standards of the company

· Contribute to the pre-testing phase of project development by evaluating proposals to identify potential problem areas and make appropriate recommendations

Required skills

• Technical university degree
• 2 or more years of experience in a testing-related role
• Design and execute script-based testing techniques
• Good knowledge of various testing types

· Experience with issue tracking tools such as Jira.

• Good understanding of QA processes and methodology
• Ability to adjust your testing approach within the existing application or environment when issues occur
• Ability to troubleshoot, communicate, and resolve general system, data, or application issues
• Ability to work in an Agile team and adjust to shifting priorities
• A willingness to improve skill set and learn new technologies and techniques
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Highly self-motivated

Preferred skills

· Writing simple SQL queries and using a relational database

· Ability and knowledge related to: Java, databases, REST APIs, networking, operating systems, dependencies and application issues

• Translation/localization experience
• Testing experience in a web environment

· Test automation knowledge is a plus
