Eaton’s Vehicle Division is currently seeking a Production Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Westminster, SC facility. Position Overview: This position is responsible for ensuring overall responsibility for leading a manufacturing team in achieving quality, cost, delivery, and employee safety goals. Directs key manufacturing processes through subordinate supervisors to ensure production objectives are met consistent with overall quality requirements effectively and timely. Manages all aspects of manufacturing operations required to convert specific product designs into finished products that meet customer order requirements, product quality standards, and product delivery commitments. In this role, you will: Plan and monitor key metrics to ensure quality, cost, delivery and safety requirements are met; ensures production objectives are met within approved budget, schedules, and quality specifications. Develop improvements in production methods, standards and procedures to ensure effective use of resources; directs application of capital and people resources to maximize operating efficiency. Facilitate problem-solving and corrective action for production issues. Foster a relationship of teamwork throughout the plant and promotes a positive employee relations atmosphere. Promote continuous improvement throughout the organizations to reduce total cycle time. Develop and maintains a trained, quality minded manufacturing workforce; provides leadership to employees to ensure customer requirements are satisfied. Hold regular production meetings to review order progress and to resolve outstanding order issues to meet on-time shipment commitments. Review and evaluate performance, quality and cost improvement objectives for manufacturing departments within span of control. Implement changes and productivity improvements without negatively affecting morale or production. Drive continuous improvement; a change leader who motivates and inspires others (everyone owns a piece, get the floor to buy into their vision). Ensure required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system and financial reporting requirements. Co-ordinate manufacturing schedules and priorities within the production plan to satisfy customer requirements. Controls in-process inventory to achieve production requirements with minimum impact on inventory levels. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment Minimum three (3) years of manager of people experience Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or Industrial Technology from an accredited institution Master’s degree from an accredited institution Position Success Criteria: Automotive systems knowledge Working knowledge and understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
