Job Description

The Intel Fellows Office is chartered with helping increase the impact of our Fellows both here at Intel and in the industry, through a variety of programs including the delivery of strategic education and community building events for the senior technical community.

We are seeking a motivated event coordinator, with a passion for excellence in detail-heavy logistics execution, to deliver our technical events. The event coordinator will partner with the Fellows Office Director to plan and deliver 10 to 15 critical events for our technologists.

This role is responsible for the logistics planning, management and execution for each event, and provides an opportunity to further develop event and project management expertise, including the necessary role experience towards earning the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential.

Some examples of the type of work this position manages include:

  • Venue selection, contract negotiation and supplier support requests (such as catering)
  • Web site management (design, permissions, content posting) and communications support
  • Abstract submission/grading/selection processes support
  • Registration administration and deadline management including reminders for data due from stakeholders, keynote speaker management, signage (plans/creation),
  • Onsite event delivery support
  • Continuous process improvement including evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of new tools to aid the continued efficiency of planning processes.

This position is one half of a dynamic team of two, hyper focused on the work that needs completion, regardless of specific role boundaries.

Qualifications

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent work experience

  • 1+ year of hands-on logistics management of multiple events of varying complexity
