Reporting into the South Branch Commercial Manager the Commercial Project Manager is a key member of the Project delivery team, supporting the Project Management team in the delivery of Governance, Controlling, Forecasting, Risks & Opportunities & Contract Management. There would be a business need to visit customer sites monthly. Change the future with us. • We are looking for someone with experience in maintaining appropriate project cost control methodologies to ensure that project outcomes are met and that any cost impacts are identified quickly. • Reviewing customer and sub-contractor contract requirements from an execution perspective, leading on payment applications, claim and change order management to ensure the business isn’t exposed commercially. • Effective Risk & Opportunity management, not only the identification but the tracking and mitigation to improve P&L performance. • Providing transparency with monthly forecasting of project financials across all key financial KPIs – ensuring a high level of accuracy is maintained. • Involvement in contractual negotiation with the customer, ensuring any contractual clauses and liabilities are within the business Limits of Authority. • Ensuring the appropriate level of Governance is in place for Projects of responsibility, including supporting both internal & external auditing. We don’t need superheroes, just super minds • We would like to speak to people with previous experience in a similar role, with a qualification in a financial / accounting field or equivalent working experience. • A dynamic individual who can adapt to an environment where the customer expectation & type of project we deliver can change rapidly. • You will have a detailed understanding of project controlling, accounting / finance (FRGs), contract & subcontract management. • Experience of working with project teams supporting multiple projects and project managers. • Confident communication and presentation skills, with a customer centric focus. • Experience negotiating NEC or JCT contracts with customers would be a huge advantage.
