We are looking for an entry level large-scale software DevOps Engineer to join one of the largest, most complex software departments around. Our hardware compiler (Quartus) is over 10M lines of C++ code base and requires advanced methods to keep our hundreds of engineers productive. We are responsible for tools, infrastructure, and critical operations enabling the successful delivery of the code base as deliverables to both internal and external customers.

This role's responsibilities are multi-prong and need to be agile enough to wear a technical hat and manage operations simultaneously. The candidate will own the full lifecycle of your products including design, code, test, deploy, and support using many industry standards and internally developed tools. You will be primarily coding in Python 3 standards to increase the productivity of our 500-person software department. Some of the core responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coding primarily in Python 3, with exposure to Perforce, Django, Angular, REST, and many other tools/languages.

• Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and development infrastructure projects.

• Design, develop, review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the projects.

• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (Continuous Integration (CI)/ Continuous Deployment (CD) Pipeline).

• Troubleshooting techniques to identify and root cause bugs and fix them.

• Incidence management and root cause analysis.

• Understanding project requirements and scheduling.

• Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible.

• Performing triaging/configuration of build, test, release, and support processes per DevOps operation.

• Coordination and communication within the team and internal customers.

Qualifications

You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum requirements:

The candidate must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum of 3-6+ months of experience in:

• Proficiency in Python.

• Object oriented design and testing methodologies.

• Linux and bash scripting.

Preferred qualifications:

One or more of the following skills will be a plus:

• Experience working with a distributed compute system.

• Experience working with Perforce.

• Experience working with make files (Linux and/or Windows).

• Web Development.

• Django, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular.

• Restful interface development.

• Experience working with cross platform development.
