Currently, we are looking for

Duty Manager

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • To consistently provide thoughtful, caring, and sincere service
  • To oversee the smooth operation of the reception and be the key contact for any guest issues or hotel emergencies
  • To assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Communicate with Front Office Manager on all matters regarding guest services & hotel operations
  • Ensure guests receive prompt attention and personal recognition throughout the hotel
  • Respond to guest needs and resolve related problems
  • Inspect the front of house and back of house regularly for cleanliness and orderliness
  • Assist Guest Relations in greeting, rooming, and sending off guests
  • Monitor appropriate standards of conduct, uniform, hygiene, and appearance of staff
  • Provide input for Front Office meetings and conduct daily briefings
  • Check billing instructions and monitor guest credit
  • Fully conversant with all hotel emergency procedures
  • Take full responsibility for Front Office staff in absence of the FOM
  • To assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • To follow department policies, procedures, and service standards
  • To follow all safety policies
  • Shift work required
  • Other duties as assigned

 

The ideal candidate should have the following qualities, skills, and competencies:

  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Previous PMS experience required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
  • University/College degree in a related discipline is an asset
  • Must possess a professional presentation
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Frequent standing, walking, and sitting throughout shift
