Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Instructional Designer to work closely with our product training team members and Subject Matter Experts to create engaging eLearning solutions and training curriculums for our global customers.
The position requires the ability to work across a wide range of stakeholders that supply the subject matter expertise to create the training materials. The successful candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, content authoring and training design process.
This role can be remote based.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop and manage eLearning modules to support the RWS product set. Using instructional design techniques, working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to define course objectives, outline and storyboard courses, produce scripts and eLearning content.
* Collaborate with Product Training team members to produce eLearnings spanning over multiple audiences (external customers, internal employees, RWS partners).
* Ensure that eLearning projects are delivered within agreed timescales
* Work with the other instructional designers to:
* create best practices and help decide on tooling and processes for content creation and dissemination
* ensure product enablement materials are up to date on our LMS, as well as on other platforms where applicable
* ensure governance is in place for retiring old training, in line with RWS’s product life cycle
* Stay informed and share knowledge on cutting-edge tools or mechanisms that may be leveraged to improve product enablement
* Use a breadth of skills in user interface and graphic design to design excellent user experiences
* Publish completed eLearning content to relevant format
* Edit video or create animation for incorporation into eLearning courses, develop eLearning using simulations techniques to enhance eLearning experience, and create knowledge checks and certification exams.
* LMS administration
* Gather and monitor feedback for continuous improvement
* Manage the creation of training curriculums of instructor-led training courses
Your team:
As our new Senior Instructional Designer, you’ll be part of the Product Training team, which, in turn, fits into the bigger picture of the Product Management team. Product Management drives our product roadmap, based on a strong future vision and deep technologic overview. You will report to the Product Training Manager who is responsible for the product training strategy and content creation for both RWS customers and internal employees.

* Elearning development tools (proficiency in Articulate 360 package required)
* Learning management and experience platform
* Video recording and animation tools (proficiency in Camtasia and Vyond preferable)
* Text-to-Speech tools (Amazon Polly)
* Speech-to-Text tools (CaptionHub)
Skills and Knowledge:
* Experience in Learning and Development strategies
* At least 3 years’ experience of working in the eLearning development environment
* Instructional Design and methodology
* Expert ability to develop content in the Articulate suite of products, primarily Storyline 360
* Understanding of user interface design and best practice
* Understanding of how to create learning which is accessible to the widest possible audience
* Enthusiasm for and wide ranging knowledge of eLearning design and development approaches
* Expertise in technical writing and building training materials
* Experience with the creation of exams
* Video production an advantage, current tool used is Camtasia
* Animation production an advantage, current tool used is Vyond
* Learning Management Systems an advantage
* Native-English speaker or equivalent, additional languages is an asset.
