Follow @abbvie on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn. • Acts as the technical expert for Automation Applications, Vision Systems, and Process Controls. • Maintains system availability and works with stakeholders and users to ensure that service objectives are met. • Provides input and recommendations regarding business continuance / obsolescence issues and improvements to control systems and processes. • Support a controls implementation strategy that integrates process knowledge, equipment design, and quality standards to reduce downtime, elevate the level of regulatory compliance, and introduce efficiency gains through effective use of available technologies. • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Operations Technology system management in the manufacturing environment. • Develop and maintain capital project plans for implementing new and modified control system applications. Develop and revise project plans and budgets, work with stakeholders to understand complex problems and focus on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines. • Supports in establishing a stable and future-ready digital foundation through integration of shop floor equipment with IT systems. • Monitors, ensures compliance, and conforms to all regulatory and company mandates including Data Security and Data Integrity. Provides guidance, technical advice, planning and project management both within the group and with outside consultants and vendors. • Assists departmental objectives by developing strategic roadmaps for Automation Applications and Process Control systems in conjunction with Digital Systems and business management resources. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, along with a minimum five years of work experience required. • Experience with commissioning and qualification, and computerized systems validation required. • Experience developing /configuring Vision Systems (such as Cognex and VisioChrom) required. • Experience with coding in VB, C#, or other standard programming languages would be a plus. • Experience with PLCs (such as Allen-Bradley ControlLogix), programming in ladder logic and instructional texts, and HMI screen development and management would be a plus. • Experience with implementing and maintaining Windows-based Operations Technology control systems and related components including Active Directory, User Administration, Network Communication, and Acronis Backup would be a plus.
