Eaton’s Marketing Department is currently seeking a Social Media Specialist for our Beachwood, OH office. Reporting to the Manager, Social & Paid Media Operations and working with business communications, marketing communications and Corporate functions, the social media specialist is responsible for managing Eaton's social media content mix, which is comprised of brand and employee advocacy content. This includes reviewing, scheduling and trafficking content to align with best practices and Eaton brand standards, as well as supporting employee advocacy communications, training and population/maintenance of the advocacy content library. This includes using content management and social media publishing tools to collaborate, review, schedule and traffic content. Oversee employee advocacy program through the review and/or development of content to refresh the content library and through the execution of communications and trainings to support employee onboarding. Facilitate educational trainings to support adoption of social media content best practices and processes to upskill other team members and drive operational efficiencies. Monitor general content/post performance to provide strategic guidance to teams for future content planning and optimization. Champion correct usage of social standards, brand and corporate guidelines on social media. Write and review compelling copy for social channels, in observance of company brand standards and voice principles, as needed. Collaborate with internal teams to conceptualize and execute content ideas to support company and organizational objectives, product launches, and campaigns. This may include lives, chats, events, influencer activity, varied content formats, etc. Work collaboratively with Paid Media Manager to assist in paid media content review and facilitate paid media boosting efforts. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution 3+ years of marketing and communications experience, with an emphasis on social media publishing and content creation. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications from an accredited institution Proficiency with social media tools for content scheduling, collaboration and management. Hootsuite and Percolate experience a plus. Knowledge of social media platforms, including organic targeting capabilities and formatting requirements. Understanding of social media KPIs, reporting and evaluation. Knowledge of social media communications, including how to drive engagement, conversations and impact through social media. Knowledge of social media use around the world (not just North America) and governance. Content development, messaging and workflow management Experience in B2B marketing communications preferred, but not required. Position Criteria Superior creativity, written communications skills and presentation skills are a must. Must be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm towards multitasking, dealing with ambiguity and working in a matrixed environment. Able to meet deadlines and establish clear priorities quickly – works effectively with tight deadlines and able to handle a heavy workload and organize and handle a multitude of different tasks in parallel. A service mentality, reflected in the interaction this role plays in engaging and working with business and functional leaders as “internal clients.” Compelling interpersonal skills; professional maturity to listen, learn, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and to build coalitions and consensus corresponding to the vision and branding goals of the organization.
