Job Description

Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks. Used for jobs with a higher market rate than standard tech jobs.

This position is with the Device Development Group (DDG) in Austin, TX. The DDG Atom team is chartered with designing the latest Intel processors using the most advanced and innovative process technologies.

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic students for Summer and/or Summer/Fall 2022. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks. Used for jobs with a higher market rate than standard tech jobs.

In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:

  • Responsibilities will be diverse and related to VLSI CMOS circuit design
  • Work will be on blocks dealing with circuit, logic, and physical design tasks
  • Circuit simulation work on blocks to optimize timing, noise, power, area, reliability using tools (inhouse, and industry standard external)
  • Scripting for optimizing flows, design automation



Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must be pursuing a Master's Degree or a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

3+ months of experience in:

  • Must have taken classes and have solid background in VLSI design, Logic Design, Microprocessor Architecture
  • Circuit Design, Logic Design, programming, static timing analysis, low power design techniques, noise mitigation techniques, layout, etc.
  • Programming language (Perl or Python or Tcl, etc)
