As a Technical Writer you will:

• Design, write, revise, and edit technical and promotional papers (i.e., application papers, product descriptions, catalogs, manuals/guides, commercial applications, brochures, product articles, etc.).

• Analyze and interpret data to determine appropriate syntax, style, and grammatical usage.

• Collaborate with internal partners on preparation of illustrative material, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams, charts, supporting slide/video production, serving as editor on specific publications including article selection, artwork coordination, productions and distribution.

• Meets with partners to assess requirements.

• Assist in preparation and layout of work for publication.

• Act as internal experts, consultants, and program/project managers and represent the corporation to external groups, agencies, and vendors

Qualifications

Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering-related field

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years of relevant experience, experience should include one or more of the following:

• Experience in Engineering

• Experience in Writing or Technical Writing

• Experience with professional authoring tools (i.e. OxygenXML Author, Adobe Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DITA Authoring

• Experience researching technical topics
