Job Description
Eaton's VEH Emobility Division is currently seeking a Buyer to join our team. This position is based at our Tijuana facility. Main goal To contribute to the profit of the division using the methods, more effective systems and procedures in the Purchasing department. Job Responsibilities: Identify cost out opportunities. Reviews invoices on hold and place corrective actions to avoid recurrence. Maintain and correct the purchasing info record, item master and lead times in SAP. Place purchase orders based on standard work schedule as per SAP suggestion. Maintain communication and updates with internal customers, related to material arrival. Maintain raw material inventory levels in accordance to the objectives set every month. Burn down any past due PO from suppliers and provide accurate dates in SAP. Follow up standard work on a daily basis Have direct communication with suppliers regarding material usage and forecast. Give disposition to rejected material and create corrective action plans. Reduce any PPV and provide detail explanation if generated. Identify any E&O risk’s and work on the plan to deplete the inventory. Provide necessary support EHS policies are respected in all of its contents. EHS Responsibilities: Separate hazardous waste from the common waste. Place hazardous waste (gloves, rags, etc.) in assigned containers. Keep clean the work área contaminant free. Do not waste water. Report any activity that may jeopardize my safety and the environment. Identify and properly dispose all the chemicals that may contaminate the environment. Ensure the correct container for the disposal of hazardous waste (identified containers and containers to prevent spills). Report the entry of new Chemicals required for Maintenance purposes due to mantain a record updated and assure the compliance of the correct handling of them. Contain oil spills and repair as necessary. #LI-SL4 Qualifications Education level required: Bachelor’s degree Years and area of experience required: 2 years in similar position Technical knowledge: 90% minimum of English domain (spoken and written), MS Office, ERP Soft skills: Negotiation skills set own priorities based on daily activities, customer service oriented, sense of urgency and collaboration, team work oriented.
