Meet the team - Video Main Responsibilities Designing, Implementing and Unit testing of the solution specific software stack based on Linux. Design and implement services built upon Veloce X-STEP software products, open source components, and/or custom platforms. Help project managers, lead project planning and tracking, requirements analysis, task analysis, work breakdown, and schedule estimation. Maintain Open Source Software in license clearing platform. Required skills, knowledge and experience B.Sc. Degree of Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Science Familiar with DevOps concepts. Solid knowledge in C, Linux and Linux Internals. Strong programming and debugging skills. Strong experience in Embedded Systems and Open Source. Experienced in porting the kernel and bootloader to several hardware platforms. Linux driver development knowledge (e.g. usb, block, character, network stack). Linux kernel debugging skills (e.g. kgdb, lttng, systemtap, jtag, etc.). Experience in Linux build systems: isar, OpenEmbedded, Yocto. Solid knowledge in Toolchain, Compiler. Fluent in at least one scripting language: Python, Bash or Groovy. Knowledge of C++ is preferred. Knowledge of version control tools like GIT is a plus! Ability to work on ARM based hardware targets is a huge plus. Strong architecture knowledge of ARM and experience with boot-time optimization is preferred. Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share your knowledge with others. We’re Siemens.
