Design Monitoring and Engineering delivers 24/7 incident, event and service request management to Intel Global Design Computing environment. A student employee can do specific work in the area of their future degree or work as a Generalist in a specific department. The studentship is limited in time with the intent to hire into a regular position as appropriate.

Job responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Advance Linux debugging.
• Detecting, analyzing and solving complex problems.
• Cooperating with Engineers from all over the world.
• Develop scripts and automation mainly in PERL, BASH, SQL, PHP, HTML to improve monitoring and control capabilities.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum

• Active student of bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related fields.
• Willing to remain as student/worker for at least 2 years.
• 3+ months of experience in Unix/Linux and Windows Servers Administration.
• Advanced English level.

Preferred

• Students at Licenciatura or Masters level would be ideal.
• Willing to work 1 day of the weekend.
• Customer Service Experience.
• Experience with PERL, BASH, SQL, PHP or HTML.
