If you are a telecommunication engineer or a patent attorney with highly technical skills who have a solid background in patent licensing/litigation dealing with telecommunication matters or standards and, in particular, 3GPP standards; and who have strong skills in patent analyses (e.g., standards essentiality and patent claim validity analyses), negotiation and project management, you would make an excellent candidate for this highly dynamic and challenging position with Nokia Technologies. We would also prefer that you have experience working in an international business environment and an excellent command of the English or Chinese language. A successful candidate will take on a technical role in our Technical Analysis (Patent Licensing) team dedicated to development, coordination and execution of patent licensing programs.


Our current team comprises mainly telecommunication professionals and/or patent attorneys. We are looking to expand the team with professionals who have similar or complementary skills. We are looking for team players who are also able to work highly independently whilst sharing their knowledge and experience to enhance the collective competence and execution ability of the entire team.

Requirements:

  • Having a university degree in the field of telecommunications or natural sciences

  • Familiar with 3GPP standards, and having experience with PHY and MAC layers is mandatory

  • Fully or partly qualified Chinese Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, US Patent Attorney/Agent or alternatively working with patents for a minimum of 5 years

  • Having strong project management skills, and ability to see things through to completion

  • Having strong analytical skills and ability to comprehend complex technical concepts

  • Having strong negotiation, persuasive and presentation skills as well as a team player mindset

  • Having excellent Communication skills, and command of written and spoken English or Chinese

  • Willing to travel and to work under pressure.
