We have six manufacturing facilities located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford and Sligo and a third-party manufacturing management operation in Sligo. 

Abbott has commercial, support operations and shared services in Dublin and Galway. We have been operating in Ireland since 1946. 

THE ROLE

We currently have a vacancy for a recently or part qualified Accountant who will work within the RTR team, looking after the European markets with our outsourced partners.

The successful candidate will join the Shared Services Centre based in Cherrywood Business Park, Loughlinstown, Co Dublin

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibility for the Intercompany accounting process – including review & settlement of monthly invoices, balance liaison with affiliates and related reporting

• Assist monthly general ledger close activities for US GAAP

• Review and preparation of monthly reconciliations & journals to ensure high quality compliance with US GAAP

• Complete SOX controls in line with control matrix

• Work closely with outsourced business partner

• Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders

• Support timely completion of Internal and External audits

• Perform analytics to ensure accuracy of financial information

• Provide input on an ad hoc basis for key stakeholders

• Support projects

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Recently or Part qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA

• Some intercompany accounting experience – preferably with Shared Service Centre and multinational corporation background

• SAP experience is desirable

• Good written and verbal communication skills are essential

• Strong computer skills especially MS Office
