1. Responsible for the analysis of the portfolio to be managed as well as the development, definition and implementation of the material field strategy in cooperation with the business units.
2. Global coordination as well as strategy implementation in the assigned material field.
3. Having responsibility over the commercial aspects of supplier management such as preparing and conducting annual price negotiations and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
4. Providing operational support to plants worldwide to ensure supply availability.
5. Participate in escalation and bottleneck management to maintain the supply chain.
6. Identify critical suppliers and manage escalations actively to support deliveries.
7. Develop and implement risk mitigating measures in collaboration with R&D, product manager, logistics, etc.
8. Join and report to global task force meeting and ensure collaboration between the task force and the Purchasing line function.

1. Bachelor's / Master’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a similar field required.
2. Open, flexible and target group-oriented communication skills as well as high level of resilience and assertiveness.
3. Structured working and entrepreneurial mindset in an international environment. High affinity for cross-departmental cooperation.
4. 5+ years of professional purchasing experience in the area of direct material sourcing. Experience in supplier bottleneck management and communication across management hierarchies. Task force experience preferred.
