About the Role As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will be analyzing possible software defects and system errors / problems that arise during Tecnomatix deployment in a customer environment and clarify the causes of these occurrences. Main application to support will be Teamcenter Manufacturing and Process Simulate on Teamcenter combined with robotic simulation and line simulation. An additional part will be the event-based simulation in a PLC environment Area of Responsibility Interfaces with top-level customer engineers and managers to develop or enhance complex computer-aided engineering design or manufacturing processes for a customer Using computer-aided systems to assist and instruct lead customer engineers on large scale, complex design and tooling tasks involving multiple design environments. Cogently communicates software problems to product development. Assists other engineers in the design, development, and implementation of large scale, complex graphical application programs on multiple software products and hardware platforms. Implementation of large scale, complex graphical application programs on multiple software products and hardware platforms Providing technical guidance to lead customer engineers in the application of complex design techniques and system procedures related to computer-aided engineering software. Responsible for in-depth technical papers and presentations to customer management Technical Lead in guiding junior engineers Your Qualifications & Experience Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable technical training with professional experience Professional experience in software analysis or software development Knowledge of the fundamentals in several of the following areas: operating systems, databases, PDM software, networks, and webserver Knowledge of a programming language are useful, but not essential Experience with Tecnomatix or equivalent PDM Product is ideal Independent, structured and responsible working methods Team-oriented and communicative Good German and English skills (both written and oral) Knowledge of additional language is an advantage Good knowledge of MS Office Suite Take initiative, team player, communicative, adaptive Working at Siemens Software Why us?
