Brisbane Airport Hotels Group encompasses the Pullman and ibis Brisbane Airport Hotels, as well as the Brisbane Airport Conference Centre. With 375 guest rooms, 3 restaurants, Executive Lounge and 13 meeting spaces, collectively totalling 1800m2. Located adjacent to the Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal, it is the first accommodation, meeting and event space to be developed in this precinct and scheduled to open in October this year.   

Pullman and ibis Brisbane Airport is currently seeking a Chef de Partie to join the professional and dynamic kitchen team. This role will report to the Sous Chef & Executive Chef, with responsibilities including leading the smooth day-to day shift operation within the Kitchen.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Assist with the implementation of programs to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
• Lead employees by setting a positive example.
• Assist with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for service.
• Prepare and present menu items, demonstrating variety and flair.
• Ensure stock rotation and minimum wastage.
• Mentor and co-ordinate the work of apprentices.

To be successful in this role you should demonstrate:

• Trade qualification and experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Excellent technical knowledge with experience in a variety of cooking techniques and styles.
• Demonstrated experience leading staff.
• Exemplary communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to maintain high and consistent standards.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain food safety standards and understanding of HACCP.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety principals as they apply to the kitchen environment.
