Overlooking the waters of Claisebrook Cove in East Perth, this sophisticated 57 room holiday apartment hotel lies close to shops, cafes and the CBD, offering stunning apartment style rooms. This hotel is the perfect solution for long and short term accommodation in Perth.

The Sebel East Perth is currently seeking a Full Time Maintenance Manager to join their dynamic and professional team. This role reports directly to the General Manager.

About the role:

You will be responsible for addressing a range of maintenance issues including guest requests, back of house and safety as well as but not limited to:

  • Planning and carrying out preventative maintenance and general repairs throughout the hotel to ensure standards are maintained for guest comfort.
  • Contractor management & Contractor Induction.
  • Ensuring the hotel upholds OH&S and fire safety responsibilities.
  • Involvement in Quarterly audit reporting and completion of monthly maintenance reporting.
  • Maintaining records of repair work and daily checks as required by local Council, Government and manufacturer specifications.
  • Liaising closely with other departments to ensure minimal impact of repairs and maintenance on operations.
  • Carrying out project work as required and/or as requested by the General Manager.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  •  A technical background with maintenance experience (a trade qualification is advantageous but is not essential)
  • Good communication skills and ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational skills as well as the ability to multi task.
  • Good planning skills and experience in project management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate staff.
  • It is a requirement of the role that you will be available to carry out emergency maintenance work outside of normal working hours.
  • Unlimited working rights in Australia.
  • Experience in similar role or environment preferably in hotels

You must be available to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends as per our business demands.  You will be someone with a passion for the Hospitality Industry and are committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
