Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager - Services to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC facility. Relocation benefits will be provided for this role. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading the Supply Chain function for the Service Operations with approximately $230M in sales annually. In this role, you will lead functions that include Materials planning, ordering activities associated with the delivery of specific customer products, direct and indirect material purchasing, direct source material, inventory control and cycle counting. In this function you will: Manage and direct supply chain personnel in the procurement, receipt, disbursement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels at plant and in the field. Manage current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements. Analyze data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares consolidated managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure plant/product line optimal Supply Chain execution. Ensure correct planning parameters and transaction disciplines are utilized in order execution to ensure proper order generation and inventory balances. Manage material cost and schedule impact of proposed engineering changes in addition to taking necessary action to ensure successful implementation and incorporation of approved engineering releases. Evaluate operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc. Meet or exceed key metrics of days on hand, gross inventory, plant and supplier on-time delivery, days payable outstanding, cost savings, cycle count accuracy, supplier invoice on-hold metrics, and profit plan/budget forecasts. Ensure the accuracy of physical inventory to assure the timely fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining inventory levels that are beneficial to the overall operation of the company. Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement while aligning with supply chain functional requirements (i.e. Materials Management Assessment). All duties assigned by management and deemed pertinent to the continued success of Company and employee objectives and/or goals. Respond to material supply escalations from direct Customers and Eaton’s Field Service Team as required on a 24/7 basis. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of five (5) years related supply chain experience. Minimum of one (1) year supervisory/managerial experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Knowledge of ISO or Quality Systems. Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). Purchasing Management (CPM). Lean or Six Sigma application in business processes. Ability to lead cross functional process improvement teams. Experience with MRP systems (SAP). Position Success Criteria: Full Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP, min/max) and order generation process logic. Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling purchasing, supplier selection and management, inventory control and analysis. Detailed knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management. Required working knowledge and experience with computers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications. Why work at Eaton?
