Eaton’s Critical Power Digital Infrastructure division is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst/Cost Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC facility. Relocation assistance will be provided. Position Overview: The primary function of the Senior Financial Analyst/Cost Analyst role is to provide accounting, finance, and compliance support for CPDI’s Service/Three Phase/Single Phase groups. The Senior Financial Analyst/Cost Analyst works collaboratively with stakeholders to analyze and provide useful financial inputs that aid business partners in decision-making. This role is a vital part of month-end close, and is highly engaged in financial analysis, budgeting, internal controls, special projects, and process improvements. In this function you will: Support physical inventory for multiple distribution centers Work collaboratively with supply chain, product line management and other functional departments Generate reports and analyze data to provide critical decision-making information to stakeholders Support the month-end closing by preparing journal entries, month-end accruals, variance analysis, and various financial reports. Prepare monthly account reconciliations as assigned. Ensure adherence to standard accounting principles, US GAAP, company policies and internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley, and audit requirements. Perform root cause analysis to resolve problems. Interpret financial results and communicate opportunities for improvement management. Assist with monthly forecasting and annual budget process. Work in a team environment to drive improvement in financial processes through tools/systems, automation, and standardization. Cross-train with team members to build skills and experience across the finance team. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Accounting/Finance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred qualifications: CPA/CMA Finance or Accounting Degree Prior finance/accounting internship or general business experience Position Criteria: Analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Strong software and systems skills (Oracle, SAP, Encore, Microsoft Office). Ability to work well in a team environment. Strong time management skills with ability to balance multiple priorities and projects. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Ability to improve processes, both technical and analytical. Ability to implement new accounting policies. Ability to adapt well to changes. Ability to identify and solve problems.
