The position of Sales Executive is within the Sales Team located at Alere Malaysia Main Office. This role is responsible for the Business Development, Relationship Management and commercial success for their nominated specific customers within the region of their territory.

Technical / Operational
- Identify business opportunities, develop strategies to address those opportunities, and co-ordinate the implementation of those strategies within the Alere organization
- Regularly monitor sales performance of your territory against assigned budgets and take corrective actions as required to meet company goals
Internal Systems and Processes
- Report regularly on the performance of your allocated customer accounts in the required format
- Co-ordinate and communicate regularly with Marketing to ensure maximal service delivery to your customers
- Comply with Alere Corporate policies and procedures
Customers
- Maintain routine contact with key account stakeholders as defined by decision making ability, value of business opportunity, key opinion leaders, relationship value
- Co-ordinate any necessary training/support for your Customer Accounts
- Professionally represent Alere at local/regional sales and professional society meetings, congresses and trade shows
Financial
- As a minimum:
- Achieve Revenue targets
- Achieve Growth targets
- Operate within the annual expense budget
Conduct
- Ensure all activities carried out by self are in accordance with legislative employment policies and safety requirements and corporate policy
- Promote a standard of excellence for quality and customer focus at Alere

Skills, Education, and Experience
- Relevant science or clinical qualification and background
- 3 - 5 years working in a sales/business development/marketing role within a commercial healthcare organization
- Demonstrated history of high level sales performance
- Working history of developing business opportunities at senior levels of customer organizations
- Post Graduate Business qualifications
- Completion of negotiation/sales courses
- Exposure/interaction with clinical/medical healthcare workers
COMPETENCIES:
Technical / Operational
- Ability to comprehend and be conversant in medical/scientific terminologies and processes
- Ability to develop customer specific commercial strategies across diverse customer departments/hierarchies and implement those strategies to success
- Possess highly developed skills in Microsoft Office package, esp. Excel and PowerPoint
Internal Systems and Processes
- Ability to utilize standard business software packages, e.g. MS Office suite
- Ability to self-time manage to achieve reporting deadlines
- Ability to regularly document sales activities and opportunities on company CRM

- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of customer organisations
