Job Title

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Chef de Partie, assists in directing and controlling the whole food production in a manner that ensures the highest level of food quality, sanitation in food service and departmental profitability

What you will be doing:

• Is willing to learn and displays a lot of eagerness and enthusiasm for the work.   
• Helps in preparing hot food and soups, under the guidance of the Sous Chef
• Helps with the Kitchen sanitation, try to reach the highest level of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Must attend all scheduled training and on the job training sessions.
• Ensure the highest level of personal hygiene; uniform is worn in the correct and cleanliness manner.
• Assists in checking all equipment and utensils and reports to the Sous Chef immediately if there is any fault.
• Promotes good employee relations
• Maintain a climate of trust and team spirit though out the operation
• Providing excellent self-discipline, gains respect from all and inspires good team work
• Leading by example
• To attain and follow up on any guest complaints
• Guest suggestions have to be listened to and brought to the Chef de Partie’ s attention
• Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures

Your experience and skills include:

Education

• Senior High School, Hotel School or Tourism Academy, VTC

Experience

• Held Trainee position, minimum of 2 years and had previous experience, in reputable establishment of a minimum 2 years.

Other

• Basic communication skills in English (oral)
