Maintenance Technician
Amgen is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. Under general to no supervision, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing intermediate installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, testing and documentation/logs of a wide variety of facility and processing equipment used at the Thousand Oaks manufacturing and utility plants. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing various quality system and safety documentation and finishing the work in a safe (in accordance to Hazard Risk Assessments (HRA) and Job Hazard Assessments (JHA)) and timely manner according to planning and predefined schedules with minimal impact to production while aligning with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), standard operating procedures (SOP) and Amgen policies and regulations.

Position Responsibilities:
Review and provide feedback on maintenance reports, forms and records
Revise and review equipment, maintenance or other related procedures
Provide regulatory and partner audit support
Interpret electrical schematics, I/O wiring and panel drawings, Utility, process system/equipment, plumbing, ductwork and HVAC P&ID's
Interact with peers and clients in manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, facility utilities and contracted services
Perform general labor duties
Participate in On-Call rotations for after-hours facility and manufacturing support and work outside of established shift hours upon short notice

Basic Qualifications
Associate’s degree and 2 years of Maintenance experience OR 2 years in a technical school setting with hands-on experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 4 years of Maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications
2 year technical/AA/AS degree in building maintenance, mechanical maintenance, plant engineering or related technical field
2+ years’ experience in an FDA (GMP) or similar regulated environment
Experience with installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and testing of mechanical systems, HVAC and utilities equipment
Intermediate knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic fundamentals, as well as, intermediate skills in the use of power and hand tools in the building trades, such as plumbing and electrical
Oral and written communication skills
A high mathematical understanding and excellent reading skills, along with intermediate computer and typing skills
