When choosing your career path, choose to be remarkable. The Supply Chain Manager is primarily responsible for managing overall product supply for assigned Canadian product portfolio. Act as the local Supply Chain owner in Canada including supply metrics, master data, new product introduction, and project support. This position is full time, located in the Markham head office and reports to the Canada Supply Chain Lead. The Manager, Supply Chain will be accountable for ensuring optimal inventory levels, oversight of rework and third-party packager, and other local supply chain activities including new product introduction (NPI) planning and execution as well as escalation management. The role works closely with sales, marketing, and finance to improve forecast accuracy and understand overall business strategies and ensure it is translated to local operations. They act as the primary contact with the Global Supply Planning team and provides leadership and technical support with SAP and planning processes to supply chain colleagues and cross functional partners within Canada identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions. Key Responsibilities: Plan and control the finished-product inventory levels including but not limited to some products that are not operating under a global supply planning model. Works closely with the Global Planners to ensure future supply supports optimal inventory level including but not limited to review of product dating, safety stock parameters, MOQ’s etc. Lead potential backorder and/or escalation meetings to communicate with key stakeholders and determine path forward to avoid and/or minimize supply disruptions. Work closely with Customer Service to allocate inventory on an as needed basis. Support and partner with Commercial and Global Demand teams with monthly demand and S&OP meetings, as needed including monthly S&OP reports. Ensure seamless coordination of Direct Purchase of Inventory with Canadian suppliers. Ensure seamless coordination of 3rd party packaging activities with 3PP’s as well as local and global affiliate partners. Act as NPI lead for product portfolio by participating in meetings and discussions to understand options and complete analysis, and by planning and executing new product introduction, product changes, and discontinuations from a supply chain perspective. Ensure coordination of intracompany orders for replenishment within the Canadian network of distribution centers, ensures optimal weight and space utilization for each load in accordance with the shipping schedules.     Ensure creation of material master for new products and maintenance for current products as well as accuracy through the data stewardship program (DSP) and ensuring Global standard operating procedures (SOP’s) are understood and implemented at the Affiliate level. Participate in internal and external financial audits. Prepare all financial reporting is completed, provided, and/or accurate in a thorough and timely manner including but not limited to yearly inventory plan, DOH, hedge, inventory reserves and obsolescence etc. Submit “Request change to the master arrival schedule” (RCMAS) to Global Planning for supply adjustments within frozen time fence. Prepare/distribute the Supply Risk report as well as maintenance of Global BO and Potential BO reports. Prepares priority report for all shipments that require expediting. Attend monthly and quarterly 3rd party meetings related to TPP’s and/or TPL providers on an as needed basis. Support Distribution and Logistics team with on-going operations and special projects as needed. Qualifications Education/Experience Required: Knowledge and experience in the life science, pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry is required. Education in field of expertise like operations, supply chain management, business (B.Sc.) is required. A certification in supply chain from APICS, certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) and/or lean would be an asset. Working understanding of finished goods planning concepts and of enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools is required. 5 plus years of experience in a similar position with experience in project management and some supervisor/managerial experience considered an asset. Hands-on experience working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate best alternative Essential Skills & Abilities: Experience with integrated management software (inventory and purchase planning management system). Must have extensive working knowledge of SAP system. Advanced experience and knowledge with business software (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/others). Strong mathematical abilities and skills. Strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills, and ability to drive supply chain process improvements. Able to gather data, develop creative solutions, and clearly communicate results of analysis in verbal and written format aligning message to audience. Strong collaborator: able to work with team of people with varying opinions and agendas, while focussing on team results and balancing trade-offs of different stakeholders. English, verbal and written is required. French would be considered an asset.
