Job Description
Eaton’s CPD PCD Division is currently seeking for a Senior Accountant to join our team. This position is based at our Arecibo, Puerto Rico facility Become a collaborator on the Finance team, providing accurate financial information on both Income Statements and Balance sheet accounts, analysis of payables, intercompany accounts, capital spending, Headcount and other required specific analysis on request. Support forecast projections identify on time any special situation and make recommendations based on analysis results. Expert in process of payroll and management of balance sheet accounts related to Fixed assets and payroll accruals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Month-end closing process — Financial review, timely journal posting, \/ariance analysis, balanced sheet classifications Support Profit Plan process - report preparation to support capital plan for the site, depreciation estimates, headcount analysis and benefits estimates. Various financial and non-financial operational performance control measures and analysis. Support during the Physical Inventory process. Balance Sheet reviews for accuracy, aging and documentation support Management of capital processes from CAR to depreciation. Processing of payroll transmission data from OTL system to payroll Quarterly filing of statutory returns for Disability, Chauffers Insurance and Workers Compensation. Other ongoing activity or special projects as necessary. Prepares financial analysis to support the business decisions by plant management. Manage and control all Intercompany accounts receivables and accounts payable balances pro\/iding accurate information and resolution of out of balances in a timely manner. Manage the requests of external and internal auditors for compliance with EATON Policies and procedures. Lead systems implementation and upgrades; making recommendations for process improvement. Promote an atmosphere of continuous improvement. Establish and maintain internal controls and evaluation of plant systems for conformance to division and corporate guidelines, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS) Assist in EHS training assigned, #LI-AR7 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Bachelor’s degree on Accounting Preferable: CPA Master degree Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position. Full Bilingual (English/Spanish) PC knowledge: Windows, Microsoft Office, AS400, Oracle and Mapics Audit techniques and general Accountant Principles.
